Episode 49: The Legend of Zelda

Enjoy this special edition gold-colored mp3 as we pick up our wooden swords and embark upon The Legend of Zelda! This board game features multiple players controlling a single Link as he travels the vast overworld of Hyrule and flips over random enemy tiles until he defeats Ganon or someone dies. Does the panel have sufficient hearts to survive this journey, or will they be left with a dead battery and a corrupt save file?

  1. Just getting around to listening to my backlog of your amazing podcast and had to stop by and say 2 things:

    1) I totally had this game as a kid (and played the solo mode, since I didn't have any friends interested in this game). I remember it "nigh-fondly," which isn't a word, but I'm willing to bet you understand the sentiment.

    2) In the first game, the manual had "Zoras" mistranslated as "Zolas..." I only remember this because it actually took me a few iterations of the game before I was able to think of the evil bastards as the former name, and In fact had to look it up to make sure I wasn't misremembering it.

Keep up with the awesome work!
